Protein bars.

I haven't been posting very much lately and it kind of sucks! I'm busy. Like really really busy. I managed to get the whole weekend off this week so i did a bit of cooking.
We went to the beach today and yesterday we sat in the park and drank beer all afternoon which was pretty nice. I even got sunburnt!!!
All the posters fell off the walls yesterday which mean Summer really is coming!

I have changed my diet recently mainly due to the fact that I don't eat enough protein and I don't eat enough greens (and my iron is low ) :( . I bought 5 kgs of pea protein online for real cheap and started making green smoothies yesterday!
I can't believe how full you feel and how long that fullness last. Its pretty amazing because usually I'm always hungry.

These bad boys are full of good fats and heaps of protein and they taste pretty good too.

Protein bars

Ingredients:
3 scoops of unflavoured vegan protein powder
1/4 cup oats
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup tahini
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1/4 cup pepitas
1/2 cup chopped dates
1/4 cup cocoa
1/4 cup Organic coconut paste
1/2 cup raw almonds
1/4 cup chia seeds
2 Tablespoons pure maple syrup (or agave for raw)

Method:
Blend all ingredients in blender (you may need to crush nuts first unless your blender is super powderful) blend until you have smooth but sticky texture. Add more peanut butter if the mix is too crumbly. Spread into lines tray and refrigerate for a few hours. Cut into squares and munch!

  1. I REALLY liked these. I used hemp protein and erm doubled the cocoa (for the extra ahem...protein).I cut it into 12 & I felt full for a long time after eating one (I'm an EATER)

    1. Oh amazing! glad they worked out for you. I would love to try hemp protein but its just soo expensive compared to pea protein that I buy in bulk online.
